Epoxies provide a tough, protective coating with excellent hardness, and good mar and abrasion resistance. Epoxies are also extremely chemical resistant and perform well in hard working areas. Various colours are available. Epoxies are generally used in garages, factories and on warehouse floors, but can also be used for a tough, decorative interior finish in domestic environments when a smooth seamless finish is required.
Expoxies can be water or solvent based and can be thin or high build epoxies. Be sure to consult your representative to ensure the right choice. Clear epoxies are also available.
The Anti-Slip Treatment is used to treat tiles that are slippery when wet. The Anti-Slip Treatment creates microscopic mountains and valleys on the surface of the tile, allowing water to disperse from wherever a person treads; much like the way good quality car tires disperse water from the road. These microscopic mountains and valleys, after dispersing water, will create a vacuum wherever water has been dispersed. This creates extra grip on the tile thereby increasing safety.
The Anti-Slip Treatment is a quick, cost effective and long lasting way to treat slippery tiles without having to resort to replacing the tiles. Most tiles have no discernable difference in colour once treated, and will matt down. On darker colour tiles (black, dark blue, dark brown) a slight lightening in colour could occur, but a sample is always done before application for the customer to approve.
Restoration / Stripping
Turn dirty old floors into new clean floors. Powerful water and solvent based strippers are used when restoring floors. Stripping is necessary when standard cleaners are not powerful enough and when floors that have been previously sealed are in a state of disrepair. Using the best machinery and with many years experience we are able to make any old floor look brand new. Stripping is not for the faint hearted and should be handled by professionals. Generally after stripping, the floor should be resealed.
Sealing ensures protection, facilitates easier cleaning and therefore creates a healthier hygienic condition.
We prepare the floor for sealing by removing all dirt and building residues. The machines we use enable us to work quickly and efficiently, reducing down time by as much as possible. The correct prearation is vital as it ensures the finest sealing results, thereby protecting your inverstment and keeping your floors looking great.
The sealers used are the latest and best technology can offer. All products conform with EU "REACH" safety regulations and are manufactured to be the safest for humans and the environments.
Marble Restarion / Polishing
Marble is timeless and forever fashionable. So wherever possible we advise restoration. Old scratched and dull marble can be restored to its original glory by re-polishing. If the damage is severe, then the floor will need to be re-cut first.
Step 1: Cut the floor to a smooth even finish using progressively fine daimond polishing discs. After this step the floorwill have a "honed" finish.
Step 2: A high gloss can be achieved by using special powders to polish and crystallize the surface. This is termed a "polished" finished.
Step 3: After polishing we advise the surface be microsealed in order to protect it from etching and stains.
We utilize the best equipment for our application and the world's absolutely finest polishing powders.
Concrete polishing and grinding
Raw power floated concrete can be polished to a smooth surface and then sealed to protect it and facilitate easy cleaning. By using diamond polishing discs to grind the surface roughness away, a smooth finish is achieved.
The concrete floor is ground with progressively fine diamond discs depending on the customer's requirements. The smoother the finish required, the finer the grade of daimond disc that is used.
Not all concrete floors can be polished to a high shine, as not all concrete floors have the same density. A free site inspection can be arranged by calling the Toll Free number.
Coolcrete is a colour stain that can be applied as a permanent stain for raw cement floors. It is available in four colours and is designed to provide a decarative finish without disguising the natural tones and hues of concrete.
It is not a paint or uniform cover coating. A sealer needs to be applied two days after applying the stain in order to protect it from damage, wear and tear, and general stains.
By using different types of sealers different finishes can be achieved, from a durable matt, natural finish to a long lasting high gloss, whatever the customer's requirements.
